STEP 1: WHATSAPP TEAM CHAT

The first thing you'll want to do is join the WhatsApp Team Chat for the Colombia JOC. Use this link to join. Joining is simple if you click the link from your mobile phone. (email: [email protected] if you have problems getting in)

This is a mandatory group chat AND a place where we as a team will get to know each other leading up to the trip. I will be sharing important information and answering team questions through this platform prior, and during the JOC . It is extremely important that you join this group chat.

STEP 2: DETAILED ONLINE REGISTRATION

I’m sure you have many questions about your upcoming adventure. Please follow this link to fill out an online detailed registration form that includes details such as, your passport number, emergency contact, dietary restrictions, and more. This information must be received by us in order to accept your registration. (If your passport is in renewal phase, please put "in process" in the box asking for the 'passport number' and use your birthdate as a placeholder for the 'passport expiry').

FINAL PAYMENT TO CLG FOR YOUR TRIP IS DUE BY DEC 1, 2024.  Please ensure the payment is made here at: http://clgonline.net/giving.


STEP 3: FUNDRAISING

Now is a great time to start spreading the word to your friends & family that you will be heading to Colombia in 2025! If they would like to contribute toward the cost of your trip with a tax-deductible donation, please share this link: http://clgonline.net/giving. 

STEP 4: FLIGHTS

Your church will be booking the team's flights as a group. Please don't purcahse individual tickets. For more information, please reach out to your contact at CLG.


STEP 5: INFORMATION DOCUMENT / SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS

Once you have completed the Online Detailed Registration form you will gain access to the Information Document that includes such topics as background checks, immunizations, air travel, luggage, the dress code, hotel details, and more. 

Please note, if you have submitted the following documents in the last 12 months, we will not require you to submit them again.

  • Background Disclosure Form
  • Background Check
  • Travel Liability Waiver
  • Team Unity Agreement
  • Copy of your passport (photo of passport page) - You will need to re-submit this if you're passport is set to expire within 6 months of travel to your destination

If Documents are required from you, we will be reaching out to you individually and you will be provided a document link to sign any required documents digitally using Docusign.

 

STEP 6: PRE-JOURNEY ORIENTATION

We will be in contact closer to the date of the Journey of Compassion by email to schedule the Journey of Compassion Team Training. This training will take place virtually as a group once registration has officially closed. During the training we will be learning, equipping, and discussing the topics of our orientation training and becoming a close knit team prior to our arrival to the Journey destination.
